The Sony Ericsson P-900 is bound to get everyone on
fire, from your companions' hearts to your wallet. It
has almost everything one would want in a mobile phone.
As a salesman termed it 'a miniature laptop'. All the
departments of this wonder gadget have been upgraded and
the end result can just be described in one word, 'WOW'.
The mobile phone has an inbuilt speaker-phone and also
an instant messenger.
Features relating to the net have been very well worked
on but unfortunately it is of no use here due to
unavailability of WAP. One great thing about this phone
is that it has a picture phonebook, which shows us the
face of the person on the other line (provided the
picture is available in your phone book). Wireless
connection between the phone and the PC makes it easier
for people to just drag and drop items from your PC into
your phone. The electronic flip keypad when flipped open
reveals the true size of the screen, (40x61mm). This
gives a bigger view of the Word, Excel or Outlook you
are trying to use. Oh, I did forget to mention that this
small wonder is a touch-screen mobile. And its functions
are similar to that of a digital diary as well.
Cameras are now becoming a basic component of every
mobile that are being launched. Well P-900 did not leave
the track and it too has an inbuilt camera in it. So
what's new? The 16MB inbuilt memory and the 32MB
removable memory of the
phone gives you enough space to go on a photographing
spree or just stick to the small video clips. Whatever
it is, the different options present in the mobile, e.g.
the night mode and the outdoor mode, guarantees that
your picture quality is the same as one taken from a
digital camera.
The 32 Mb storage disk also gives you another option, to
use it to store your music. Yes, P-900 has a music
player as well. You can download your music from your
PC/Mac and enjoy it on you mobile. The great thing about
this device is that it has some really good options for
your playlists, shuffle and repeat functions. These make
the music much more enjoyable added to the brilliant
sound quality of the mobile. And you can also use the
midi or real-music files for ring tones.
Now, what if one gets bored of the music and everything
else? This is where the big screen bursts in the scene.
The big screen added to the sound and the force feedback
makes gaming a really enjoyable experience. It also has
options for multi-player gaming and also direct
downloads from the web. The hit mobile format racing
game, V-Rally by Atari is also available in this gadget.
So, reading so much about this futuristic device, who
wouldn't want to buy it? Well, it only costs about less
than half
a lakh taka. If you can spare that kind of cash don't
wait anymore… |
